European countries are closely watching the events in Russia as tensions between the Kremlin and the Wagner paramilitary group escalate.

“Aggression against Ukraine also causes instability within the Russian Federation,” Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said in a statement.

Meanwhile, the country’s Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani urged Italian citizens in Russia to be careful on Twitter.

Polish President Andrzej Duda said on Twitter that he was consulting on the situation with the prime minister, defense minister and allied countries.

Developments beyond our eastern border are constantly being monitored,” he said.

Romanian President Klaus Iohannis reiterated that they are in constant contact with allied countries and are closely monitoring the development of the situation in Russia.

Making a statement on the subject, Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen claimed that the situation in Russia is currently tense due to the armed rebellion initiated by Wagner, according to the news of the public broadcaster YLE.
