An 86-year-old Florida man was run over by a truck pushed by his son a number of instances on Saturday evening and died on the hospital, in keeping with officers.

Simply after 8:30 p.m. Saturday, deputies responded to R Bar, in Treasure Island, FL and located a 2019 black Dodge Ram backed right into a parking area within the parking zone.

Investigators say 86-year-old Thomas McKeown walked in the direction of the truck and appeared to fall down in entrance of the truck.

In keeping with investigators, the truck began to maneuver and run over McKeown, dragging him, and reversed and moved ahead a number of instances, hitting the 86-year-old each time earlier than fleeing the scene.

Upon additional investigation, deputies stated that Thomas McKeown’s son, 61-year-old Mark McKeown, was driving the truck. Officers say Mark McKeown was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of a crash involving loss of life.

Thomas McKeown was taken to an area hospital and later died from his accidents, in keeping with deputies.

Authorities say the driving force may have been impaired when the crash occurred and that the investigation is ongoing.
