Georgia firefighters contain massive fire

Firefighters in Georgia managed to contain a massive fire at a resin factory, prompting an evacuation order for some surrounding areas.

The Glynn County Board of Commissioners said in a Facebook post at 6:21 p.m. that an evacuation order has been issued for the area within a half-mile radius of the Pinova plant in Brunswick, Georgia. At 8:30 p.m., the supervisory board said the fire is under control and no injuries were reported

The Jacksonville Fire Department has arrived in support, according to the Board of Commissioners.

There was a fire at the plant on Saturday morning that was considered under control at 9:55 a.m., but officials said it burned back down at 3:10 p.m.

The supervisory board also said in a Facebook post that water drops in the air will fall on the fire throughout the evening.
