Ylli Manjani: In 2013, Albania had a strategy for waste collection, when the SP came to power. The recycling business in Albania at that time was really encouraged, something had started, when the government makes decisions, the business is also oriented. From this moment until the decision to build and go to the regeneration strategy, no one knew anything. We started talking about incinerators in 2019-2020. The government of that time made a decision to cancel a law in force, this decision was up to the government to clarify in detail that it is not a shame to clarify but it was never done. This is absolutely politics, it starts and ends with politics, a government that comes to power and affects the budget has the duty to inform the public. Why this conclusion was reached, there was an effort for this environmental emergency, which is a very big word that should only be addressed in a few institutions. Rama and Meta, as leaders of the institution, should have explained in time to the Albanian people that something better would be built. The issue of the incinerators came up after their construction had begun. Why did incinerators become so interesting to the public? First, the breaking of the SP-LSI pact is the number 1 reason. The second is the breaking of the LSI-Lefter Koka pact, and the third, I think, is that the commercial battle with this type of business increased after Elbasan. The fourth is the conduct of justice in relation to the case.
