WASHINGTON – Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar said Tuesday that India has told Canada it is open to investigating specific information it provided about the killing of Sikh separatist Hardeep Singh Nijjar.

At a meeting of the Council on Foreign Relations, Jaishankar said India had told Canada, “This is not the policy of the government of India,” after Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said last week that Canada was pursuing “credible allegations” that Indian government agents possibly… connected to the murder.
