Matheu filed a complaint to evict the Libre groups that keep health centers closed
After 15 days of protests in the health centers of the Honduran capital, the head of the Ministry of Health, José Manuel Matheu, spoke out informing that a complaint has already been filed to evict the groups of the Libertad y Refundación Party (Libre ).
“We have taken all the legal actions that correspond by law to evict people who have been violating article 378 of the penal code, which is called usurpation, the formal complaint has been made and we have been waiting for their eviction for several days,” said the official.
There are at least five health centers located in various parts of the Central District that are kept closed by Libre militants: Alonso Suazo, Las Crucitas, Divanna, Villa Adela and San Francisco.
The medical personnel who work for these centers are waiting for the members to vacate the intake to provide care to more than 5,000 residents of the capital who require their health rights.
The collective is waiting for the head of the DC metropolitan region, Sonia Amaya, to fire all the personnel who are members of the National Party (PN) and to hire those who only belong to the bases of Free.
“We deserve that right because we have been protesting in the streets for more than 12 years,” said one of the protesters.
Also, a new request for the protests to end is that Matheu be removed from office.
