A Milwaukee suburb has lastly began to drag tens of millions of gallons of water per day from Lake Michigan after spending years searching for approval from regulators.

Town of Waukesha started the diversion Monday. Metropolis officers say 90% of town will likely be utilizing Lake Michigan’s water inside 5 days.
