A puppy was turned into a Missouri animal shelter with her fur shaved, revealing swastikas and expletives on her skin.

The 3-month-old pup was rescued by police and handed over to Rescue One, a non-profit animal rescue and veterinary clinic in Springfield, Missouri.

Rescue One said in a Facebook post on May 9 that the dog had swastikas drawn all over her body. She also had a message on her back that read, “Do not feed this (explicit) dog.”

The marks on the dog, who the rescue named Leslie, are starting to fade thanks to the handful of baths she’s been given since her arrival.

“She’s met some canine friends, napped a lot and been helpful at the clinic. We named her Leslie and she’s perfect,” Rescue One wrote in a separate post on May 10.
