Two Albanians, Florian Daci and Edmond Pula, have been arrested in Britain, after working as gardeners on a cannabis farm worth 4.5 million pounds in Carlisle.

British media reports that this could be the largest cannabis farm ever found in Cumbria.

The cannabis was planted in an area that previously functioned as a night club, in an area where there were many others but smaller than this one.

On May 10 of this year, the police raided the area, around 2:45 p.m.

“We have seen a proliferation of this crime recently in this city. “Such premises are ideal because of the strong buildings, high windows and soundproofing,” Carlisle prosecutor Brendan Burke said.

Edëard Pula, 28 years old, and Florian Daci, 24 years old, lived inside this building where they took care of cannabis plants.

During the control, the two Albanians together with a man tried to escape and jumped from the eight-meter high roof, where they received multiple fractures.

The chicken suffered leg injuries and was released from hospital under police custody later that day.

Daci remained in the hospital as he had multiple injuries to his limbs while the third man remains immobile in the hospital with multiple complex fractures in his leg and shoulder and currently.

Inside the building, officers found harvested plants of 450kg of cannabis, ready for distribution and potentially worth £4.5m.

There were also almost 800 small plants that were ready for planting, while stems and branches from the main crop had been kept and could have produced almost £60,000 worth of cannabis resin, the court heard.

“There was lighting, nutrients, filtration, extractors, dryers and an electrical system,” Mr Burke said.

Florian Daci and Edmond Pula had both entered Britain illegally by lorry with the promise of employment in the construction industry and the hope of a better life, their lawyers said.

But instead, they were put to work tending the cannabis farm while running up huge debts as a result of the UK road.

The chicken and the badger were each jailed for two years by Recorder Paul Hodgkinson, who concluded it had been an industrial operation for commercial supply.

Both defendants are expected to be deported after they are released from custody.
