Israeli opposition chief Yair Lapid on Sunday known as for early elections, saying the federal government led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu should go because it has did not return the hostages held in Gaza since Oct. 7.

Earlier on Sunday, Heritage Minister Amichay Eliyahu criticized the households of the detainees after a mass demonstration they held on Saturday in Tel Aviv urging the federal government to resign.
