NORAD fighter intercepts high-altitude balloon flying over Utah, official says

What’s characterised as a small balloon was intercepted over Utah on Friday morning by NORAD fighter jets at an altitude of 43,000 to 45,000 ft, a US official confirmed.

The official mentioned it has been decided that the balloon and its payload don’t pose a menace to nationwide safety.
