56.8 percent of Elbasan residents welcomed the victory of Gledian Llatjas in the local elections of May 14, according to the poll conducted by “Angi Ricerche” and Top Channel.
Respondents list the main reasons why the socialist candidate won again. 55.9 percent of them say that Llatja presented a reliable program, 50.7 percent that he is an important figure, while 40.2 percent because he made reliable and concrete promises. On the other hand, 43.2 percent of Elbasan residents state that they trust the Socialist Party.
In the survey, citizens were asked about the reasons for the loss of the Berisha-Meta coalition. 49.6 percent associate the loss of “Bashke Fitomje” with the split in DP. 37.2 percent say that Luciano Boçi was a weak candidate. 33.4 percent say that “Bashke Fitomje” presented a weak electoral program, while 29.7 percent because they made unrealizable or unbelievable promises.
But what do the citizens of Elbasan expect in Llatja’s new mandate? The main problem they want to solve is unemployment.
24.1 percent want road infrastructure, 22 percent expect more security. 20.6 percent want to solve the problems of sewage and water system. Then they list waste management, aid for the weaker groups, health services, educational infrastructure.
The survey of “Angi Ricerche” and Top Channel in the municipality of Elbasan was conducted from May 22-24, 2023. In total, 802 people were interviewed, while the margin of error is calculated to be +/- 2.2 percent.
