Russian President Vladimir Putin has compared NATO’s plan for the development of the Pacific countries with the Axis Powers during the Second World War.

Through an interview for “Rossiya-1”, the head of the Kremlin expressed his conviction that the West is crossing all red lines.

“What is the United States doing? They are creating more and more alliances. And this makes Western analysts say, not us, that the West is starting to build a new “axis”, similar to the one created in the 1930s by fascist regimes from Germany, Italy and Japan” – said Putin, addressing referring to the fact that in 2022, NATO agreed on a new strategic concept for the development of the bloc.

“NATO has written that it will develop relations with the countries of the Asia-Pacific region, and these countries are listed: New Zealand, Australia and South Korea. And they announced that they would create a global NATO. Great Britain and Japan at the beginning of this year, in January, signed an agreement on the development of relations in the military sphere,” said Putin.

The Russian leader considers Western countries to be the instigators of the conflict in Ukraine.

“They have been supplying since the beginning in 2014. A coup, this is where it all started. We were forced to protect the people of Crimea. They claim they have nothing to do with it. They are the instigators of this conflict. And today more ammunition, equipment and so on are being distributed,” he said.
