Radisson Hotel Group announces three new hotels

Radisson Hotel Group (one of the fastest-growing international hotel companies and one of the largest hotel operators in Nigeria, continues its ambitious growth in the country with the signing of three new hotels. These new hotels include the highly anticipated debut of the bold and sharp-edge luxury lifestyle Radisson RED brand to the country and strengthened the Group’s launch in Abuja with two brands.

The hotels add more than 400 rooms to Radisson Hotel Group’s Nigerian portfolio of 11 hotels in operation and under development, putting the group firmly on track to reach its target of 15 hotels in Nigeria by 2025.

Radisson Collection Hotel & Convention Center, Abuja

The newly built 249-room hotel will be Abuja’s first luxury hotel and will further expand the Group’s Radisson Collection portfolio in Nigeria as the country’s third Radisson Collection hotel and the debut of the premium lifestyle brands in Abuja. The hotel will have an extensive range of rooms, from standard rooms and apartments to lofts and presidential suites. The meeting spaces span nearly 3,000 square feet and will consist of a divisible conference room, five meeting rooms, a boardroom, and a pre-function room.

Located next to the Presidential Palace in Maitama district, one of the most desirable and exclusive areas in Abuja, the hotel is a 45-minute drive from Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, the second busiest airport in the country after Lagos. Close to the hotel are the city’s most popular market, Wuse Market, Jabai Boat Club, an on-water leisure and family entertainment center, and Abuja National Mosque, also known as the Nigerian National Mosque, built in 1984.

The group’s third Radisson Blu hotel in Nigeria debuts the renowned upper luxury brand Radisson Blu in Nigeria’s capital. The 104-room hotel, scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2025, is located in Abuja’s Central Business District (CBD), 45 minutes from Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.

The hotel will have a stylish piano bar, an all-day dining restaurant, fitness and wellness facilities and 245 square meters of meeting and event space.

Further expanding the Group’s presence as the 7th hotel in operation and under development in Lagos, marks the highly anticipated debut of bold and cutting-edge luxury brand Radisson RED in Nigeria. The newly built 62-room hotel, scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2025, will introduce the country to the renowned Radisson RED brand and unique food and beverage concepts through the lobby bar, all-day dining restaurant and the rooftop bar and terrace that, in true Radisson RED style, is set to become the most coveted rooftop venue in the country.

Additional facilities include a gym and swimming pool, along with 249 square meters of flexible meeting and event space, consisting of a conference room, boardroom and two meeting rooms. Just over 30 minutes’ drive from Lagos Murtala Muhammed Airport, the hotel is located on Victoria Island, the main business and financial center and one of the most desirable residential areas in Lagos, which has the highest hotel performance in West Africa thanks to its status as a financial center and size of its economy.
