Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene mercilessly mocked, criticized for Jewish holidays

Far-right Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) confused her Jewish holy days on Sunday, requested ridicule and criticism on social media.

Highlighted in green Yom Kippur with an image of a Hanukkah menorah.

“To all who are preparing for the solemn day of Yom Kippur, I wish you a meaningful fast,” Greene captioned the photo on X, formerly Twitter.

The post has since been deleted (not before it went viral) and replaced without the photo:

Rep. Jared Moscowwitz (D-Fla.) led the criticism.

‘That’s a picture for Hanukkah. Several Jewish holidays,” he wrote. “On Yom Kippur you atone for your sins. God knows you’ll be very busy.’

Greene has been that before condemned by Jewish groups for airing anti-Semitic conspiracy theories. She is introduced Jewish space lasers were to blame for forest fires, a pandemic compared public health measures related to the Holocaust and spoke at a white nationalist rally with Holocaust denier Nick Fuentes.
