Six Flags shootout sends Georgia teen to hospital in essential situation

A 15-year-old boy was critically injured in a capturing close to Six Flags Over Georgia, a preferred amusement park in suburban Atlanta, after police exchanged gunfire with a bunch of individuals, authorities stated Sunday.

Cobb County Police Division officers had been helping with crowd management close to the amusement park’s entrance on Saturday “after a number of fights had taken place” amongst individuals who had been leaving the park, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation stated in a press launch.

“Sooner or later, a number of individuals started capturing, hitting an unoccupied CCPD marked patrol automobile,” the assertion stated. “As officers recognized the place the pictures had been coming from, they ran after individuals who had run into the woods. Throughout the incident, one CCPD officer fired his weapon, hitting one minor.”

Authorities stated the 15-year-old was taken to Grady Hospital and decided to be in essential situation.

No officers had been injured, in response to GBI, and police recovered a handgun close to the 15-year-old. The GBI is conducting an unbiased investigation into the capturing and can submit findings to the Cobb County District Lawyer’s Workplace.
