Futures linked to the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose just 8 points. S&P 500 and Nasdaq-100 futures also rose slightly.

On Friday, the Nasdaq Composite closed its biggest first-half gain since 1983, up 31.7%. It was the best first half since 2019 for the S&P 500, up 15.9%. The Dow also rose a modest 3.8%.

Stocks begin a holiday-shortened trading week on Monday, with the market closing at 1 p.m. for the July 4 holiday. On the economic data side, investors will be digging into the latest ISM manufacturing PMI and S&P Global manufacturing PMI data for June ahead of Friday’s keynote jobs report.
