A woman has been found guilty of murdering her fiance, concealing his death and living with his corpse for two months.
Tabitha Zelida Wood, 46, hid the death of her 82-year-old fiance, Leroy Franklin Kramer Jr., according to court filings.
In 2022, police arrived at Leroy Franklin Kramer Jr.’s home in Georgia and found his body. Tabitha told them that he had died during the first week of April that year and that she had been living with his dead body in the mansion ever since.
An autopsy showed Kramer died of a homicide. The preliminary cause of death appeared to be blunt force trauma, according to the sheriff’s office.
Tabitha has been found guilty of first degree murder, two counts of aggravated murder, aggravated assault, concealing the death of someone, exploitation of an elderly individual and theft of a financial transaction card.
Her sentence has not yet been announced.
