The tragic murder in Ponte dell’Olio in Italy, where 20-year-old Albanian Enrico Aliaj was shot in the head by his 18-year-old brother, continues to be investigated.

Shpend Aliaj, the father of Enrico Aliaj, has spoken for the first time, since his second son is under investigation on the charge of murdering his brother.

He says that at the time when the serious incident happened, Enrico was in the apartment with his brother and a friend of theirs. Shpendi tells the Italian media that the night of June 3, when the 20-year-old lost his life, was completely accidental.

“I don’t know exactly what happened to my son, I can only say that the other son was playing with that gun and was accidentally shot,” Shpend Aliaj said, foreign media report.

Inside the house at that moment, in addition to the victim and his brother, there was also a third person, a friend of the two young men, who initially left but was later identified by the Piacenza carabinieri who have the case in hand. It still remains to be clarified what was his role in this event and why he left the house.

Meanwhile, the prosecutor of Piacenza has ordered a series of further investigations, including the autopsy of the 20-year-old’s body, while the carabinieri are working on some testimonies of friends and neighbors, as well as on the origin of the weapon, which turns out to be illegal.
