The world-famous Albanian singer born in London has exploded with accusations against English ministers, for the way they have treated immigrants in their lectures and decisions.
Outraged, Dua Lipa criticizes the “short-sighted” way British ministers label immigrants.
The music star said that the way the government has discussed the Albanians has hurt him, as he called for more empathy towards them.
“Of course it hurts. All that talk about immigrants? I always thought London was a melting pot of cultures. When you hear the government talking about Albanians, for example, it hurts. It’s short-sighted and short-sighted, but it’s the way many people think. No matter how we try to change the rhetoric, there will always be those who think, ‘Immigrants are coming to the country and taking jobs,’ said Dua Lipan in an interview for the Sunday Times.
Dua Lipa called for more empathy towards them, who go to the island state to earn their money by working extremely hard.
“However, the immigrants who have come here have earned their money by working extremely hard. There should be more sensitivity, because people don’t leave their country unless they have to leave out of necessity, out of fear for their family,” added Dua Lipa.
Even Prime Minister Edi Rama has criticized the “shameful” separation of Albanians from ministers, especially Braverman.
During a meeting with Rishi Sunak in March, Rama mentioned Lipa as an example of the positives that Albanians bring to Britain.
“Dua Lipa is not just a British singer, but an Albanian immigrant who has come here, as many have, to build, nurse, cook and sing for you, and we want to make sure that this community to feel. not only safe, but he feels honored here,” he said.
Suella Braverman stands out for her harsh rhetoric towards Albanian immigrants. The British Home Secretary has described them as “criminals who have invaded England”.
