He had already reported 15 thefts in recent months. The incident occurred this Saturday night and those involved were filmed by security cameras.

Three people are involved in a robbery and arson, which caused total losses in a warehouse of bazaar items. The violent attack occurred against a business belonging to the president of the Union of Santa Fe, Luis Spahn, whose family has already reported at least 15 robberies in recent months.

The fire started this Saturday night, around 10:30 p.m., in a warehouse at 4600 Estanislao Zeballos Street, in the Piquete Las Flores neighborhood, in Santa Fe; and it was controlled after several hours of work by three crews of volunteer firefighters and local police sappers.

The violated warehouse belongs to Spahn and his family, who sell bazaar items, mostly imported items.

The magnitude of the fire a few meters from Av. Blas Parera endangered neighboring houses, which is why several of the residents of the place had to leave them to take shelter: the action of the firefighters prevented landslides and the spread of the raging fire.

After seeing the images that caused the incident, Paula Spahn, daughter of the president of the Union, assured that the criminals are “known throughout the neighborhood” and that they are responsible for several of the robberies suffered by the family business.

“There were three people asking on the corner. We have located and denounced them because they have already robbed us more than 15 times in recent months,” the young woman denounced. And she added: “We gave the address of those responsible to the Police Station, but we have not had a resolution.”

In dialogue with Aire Digital, the young woman complained about “police inaction” and confirmed that the damage “was total”, since there was a lot of “flammable material” inside.

The case passed to the sphere of the Public Prosecutor’s Office (MPA) through the Flagrancy Fiscal Unit, which analyzes the videos provided by the victims and ordered a series of expert reports from the Zapadores Firefighters Group and the Criminal Investigation Agency ( AIC), both from the provincial police.

“An isolated incident of thieves”

Far from linking it to a personal attack, Luis Spahn believes that the perpetrators of the fire were “burglars.”

“I’m not one to play the victim, but I think this was an isolated act of thieves. They steal some things, set fire and run away. They didn’t even have a vehicle to get around,” confirmed the president of the Union.

Luis Spahn, president of the Union, unlinked the attack with an event linked to the club.

In a note made by the newspaper El Litoral, Spahn differentiated the different attacks that he has been suffering from a part of the Tatengue barra brava and took the fire “as an isolated event.”

“I think they are social outcasts. If they had had other intentions, they would have done it differently. If they want to attack me, they come on a motorcycle and break or make graffiti on the walls. They don’t steal, they don’t act like that. Personally, I don’t think there is had to do with sports, with Union”, he considered.
