Silvia Pinal is one of the most important actresses and belongs to the era of Mexican gold cinema that is still alive. This group also included María Félix, Dolores del Río, Elsa Aguirre and Sara Montiel, among others. The actress was born in the port of Guaymas, Sonora, on September 12, 1931. She was the last of four sisters, the daughter of María Luisa Hidalgo and Luis G. Pinal, who gave her his last name. Although her father opposed her being an actress, she studied Fine Arts and took singing classes.
The diva of Mexican cinema had her film debut with La Bamba by Miguel Contreras Torres in 1949, where she played a young woman from Veracruz. She then became more popular by participating in two comedies. Her last participation on stage was in 2022.

In 1952 he starred in the first telecomedy, with Manolo Fábregas. That opened the doors to the Ford Musical Party show, and several years later she produced and hosted Mujer, casos de la vida real for 23 years. In it, cases of women who suffered violence or fought for their dreams were presented. It was one of the most famous productions in Mexico.
In telenovelas, Silvia Pinal has played various characters. Her talent and charisma have been reflected in various productions such as Tomorrow is Spring, Love Bonds, Angel Face, Fire in the Blood, I am your owner and My husband has a family. The latter premiered in 2019.
In recent years, the actress has suffered several health problems that have led her to medical visits and hospital admissions. At the beginning of 2022, the news broke that Pinal had tested positive for Covid-19 for the second time. By this time she was already seen in a wheelchair.
In June and July 2023, the Mexican film diva had more health problems, according to various Mexican media. On July 24, Emilio Morales, former agent and friend of the legendary actress, said that the actress’s state of health was delicate.
