Former President Donald Trump There was laughter from California Republicans on Friday after Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and mocked her husband Paul Pelosi for the brutal hammer attack on him.
“We will take on the crazy Nancy Pelosi who destroyed San Francisco. How is her husband doing, does anyone know? Trump said in a speech to the GOP convention in California.
“And she is against building a wall on our border, even though she has a wall around her house, which clearly hasn’t worked very well.”
Trump referred to the attack leaving Paul Pelosi critically injured after a man entered the Pelosis’ San Francisco home in October 2022 in an alleged attempt to kidnap the now former Speaker of the House of Representatives.
The suspect, David DePape, pleaded not guilty to charges related to the attack, including attempted murder.
DePape had taken an interest in far-right politics in recent years and had shared “bigoted rants” online, the San Francisco Chronicle noted earlier this year.

Social media users on X (formerly Twitter) ripped the former president for his “awfultakes a dig at Paul Pelosi and also patted the audience for laughing at his comments.
