Washington police find 2 teens fatally shot after being called home to investigate suspicious circumstances

Two teens were found shot to death in a home in central Washington state.

Yakima Police Chief Matt Murray said in social media posts that officers had been called to the house Friday afternoon to investigate suspicious circumstances.

They found a teenage girl and a boy, described as being of high school age, dead from gunshot wounds, he said. Their names were not released.

“This is a tragic situation,” said Murray. “Our thoughts go out to the family.”

Two teens have been found dead in a Washington state home. The teens appeared to have been shot.

Murray said there was no threat to the community, an investigation is underway and more information will be provided at a later date.

A prayer meeting will be held Tuesday at noon at Lions Park, the Yakima Herald-Republic reported.
