There are few folks left in Avdiivka, a metropolis on the Ukrainian entrance line that’s being mercilessly bombed by Russia.

The pre-war inhabitants was over 30,000. Now there are simply over 1,000 left. Many have fled and plenty of have killed.

Amid the booms of explosions and the rattle of gunfire, a particular police unit known as the White Angels goes door to door to evacuate town’s remaining residents.

Footage shared by the unit with the BBC reveals the determined circumstances wherein those that stay need to reside, and the problem of getting to depart below fixed bombardment.

The officers need to attempt to persuade folks to depart, however some refuse – saying they’ve nowhere else to go.
