Faced with the threat, the victim stopped to hand over his cell phone and the helmet he was wearing. Then, he took out his 9mm glock service weapon and identified himself as a police officer.

Far from giving himself up, the assailant put a hand to his waist to grab his pistol. Noticing that movement, the policeman shot him. He immediately called 911 and called for an ambulance. However, the offender died before medical assistance arrived.

The assailant was identified as Lucas José Ignacio Rissetti, 22 years old. He had with him the cell phone that he had just stolen from the police officer and two other phones that are suspected to have been stolen as well. He was also carrying a 22 caliber revolver.

Judicial sources confirmed that the offender had an arrest warrant since November 3, 2022 for the crime of robbery aggravated by the use of a firearm, requested by Guarantee Court No. 5 of Morón.

In addition, the motorcycle he was riding on also had a kidnapping order since 2019, when it was reported stolen in the town of Villa Tesei, in Hurlingham.
